Imo Digital City and Global Partners Set to Host Demo Presentation for Inaugural Founder Dojo Startup Cohort
Imo Digital City Limited will hold the official demo presentation for its inaugural Founder Dojo startup accelerator cohort on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, starting at 3:00 PM. The showcase marks a critical juncture in establishing Imo State as a regional centre for venture development and tech innovation across West Africa.

The participating companies were selected following an eight-month selection and venture development process that filtered more than six hundred applications.
The upcoming public demonstration follows an initial market readiness showcase held at GITEX Nigeria in Lagos. The ventures set to pitch represent key West African innovation priorities spanning climate technology, deep technology, Internet of Things systems, healthtech, digital public infrastructure, and mobility platforms.

Founder Dojo Imo operates as a public-private partnership between the Imo State Government, Imo Digital City Limited, and Global Innovation Dojo. The initiative draws on the international venture building expertise of the US Market Access Center and incorporates curriculum frameworks from UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology, including the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship.

The selection architecture moved through three stages, commencing with a Mindset Bootcamp focused on coachability and market adaptation. Approximately one hundred founders advanced from the initial applicant pool, with fifteen teams reaching the Demo Day development phase. Through direct market engagement and problem validation, thirty-four founders across nine companies were ultimately selected for venture formation and investor engagement.

During the presentation, the nine startups will pitch their validated business models and growth plans to participating venture firms, regional backers, and strategic industry partners:

Alpha WPC Products will present sustainable Wood-Plastic Composite building materials manufactured from recycled plastic waste and sawdust for tropical construction applications.

4First Technologies will demonstrate its 4FG-Monitor, an Internet of Things device utilizing artificial intelligence for real-time tracking and automated refill notifications for liquefied petroleum gas and oxygen cylinders.

WakaBid will detail its ride-hailing software platform, which utilizes a dynamic bidding framework designed to give passengers control over pricing.

Volkes will outline its private concierge and airport logistics platform, featuring real-time flight tracking and ground transportation options across Nigerian airports.

OriginTrace Global Trade Technologies will show its automated compliance software that uses GPS mapping and regulatory scoring to align African agricultural exports with international market rules.

Lyfeblood will showcase a digital health platform connecting blood donors with hospitals and patients across Owerri and Imo State to mitigate local blood shortages.

Sneepha will present offline-compatible, GPS-verified digital address codes engineered to facilitate last-mile logistics and deliveries across African markets.

ShopCop will display its trust and verification layer for social commerce merchants operating across messaging and social media platforms.

Worka will pitch an on-demand services marketplace designed to connect consumers with verified local service professionals.

The formal Demo Day presentation will take place at the Imo Digital City Limited headquarters on Egbu Road in Owerri. Programme leadership confirmed that today’s presentations will establish structured access to capital and strategic networks for the graduating founders, with plans already underway for three subsequent cohorts to maintain a steady startup pipeline in Imo State.
